James Dean Sturdivant, known as JD, creates independent films that bring together action, humor, music, and character.

Alongside acting and directing, James works in screenwriting, cinematography, editing, visual effects, fight choreography, and dance. He is also the creator of the documentary Project Fight 4.

Through RealFilmFighters, he develops original projects and brings performers and crew together to turn ambitious ideas into films. His current work includes the musical comedy The Power of Kyle and the sci-fi action short Chronicles of the Messenger: RAGE.

From directing and producing to stepping in front of the camera, James takes a hands-on approach to storytelling.
